Since the Botanical Gardens at Asheville receive no public funding, we are dependent on our loyal corps of volunteers to ensure our success. Our volunteers are involved in a wide variety of activities including, but not limited to:

Gift Shop
Greet guests, sell items in shop, give brief introduction to BGA. Morning or afternoon shifts between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm. -
Garden Maintenance
Primarily weeding and removal of invasives. -
Education
Help develop programs, secure speakers, assist in set up for programs. -
Facility and Grounds Maintenance
Build or repair structures, plumbing, painting, etc. -
Special Events
Assist with development and production of events and celebrations.
Hours are flexible; weekend and weekday slots are available.
