Members of the Botanical Gardens at Asheville are invited to
attend the Annual Meeting
in the Butler Room at BGA on Sunday, January 27, 2008 (February 3 in case of
inclement weather) at 2 pm. Elections will be held for next year's
Officers and Board of
Directors, and awards will be presented. Refreshments will be served at
3:15 pm. Following the meeting, Will Blozan, owner of Appalachian Arborists, big tree hunter, and
president of the Eastern Native Tree Society will be presenting a program
entitled: Hunting and Exploring the Canopy of Big/Old Trees in the Eastern US.
Will's presentation will include stories and lots of canopy shots taken
while climbing the largest and tallest known specimens.
